Commuting from Motueka to Nelson every day and have room for a passenger who could help pay for petrol? Need a ride to Christchurch for the weekend? By sharing a ride, two people can each cut their emissions and costs in half, and maybe make a new friend!

Nelson City Council also offers free parking permits for carpoolers. They can park for free in the following designated areas:

• Haven Road by ANZAC Park.
• Harley Street, off Bridge Street.
• Kerr Street, by Smiths City.
